This morning, August 31, an apartment caught fire in Akademichesky in a new building on the corner of Akademika Sakharov and Chkalov streets.
Judging by eyewitness footage, the fire engulfed most of the apartment. Thick black smoke billowed from the window and tongues of flame were visible, reports KP-Yekaterinburg.
"Fire and rescue units were working at the scene. Teams from the gas-and-smoke protection service are conducting reconnaissance and searching for the origin of the fire. No information about any casualties has been reported," the press service of EMERCOM for Sverdlovsk Region said.
