      — It has become very difficult to work in the evenings. The app starts acting up after 23:40, when the internet is throttled, so the connection gradually cuts out, — a source told Ura.Ru.

      In work chats drivers say that lately at night it’s easier to “take hands,” meaning to pick up passengers who are standing on the roadside.

      This was confirmed by taxi development expert Vladimir Gerasimenko.

      — The problem of slowed internet exists; it is less pronounced here than in Russia’s central and southern regions. Right now they are testing the ability to keep the main services for taxi orders, deliveries, Gosuslugi and payment systems active when the internet is slowed or cut off, — Gerasimenko commented to Ura.Ru.

      In his opinion, the problem will soon disappear, because the offline ordering mechanism will be worked out.
