In Talitsa, a village in the Sukholozhsky District of Sverdlovsk Oblast, a bear attacked a man. The victim survived, but the animal killed his dog.
"He has injuries, but he is alive. He was unconscious; after some time he came to, walked to the village, and they called an ambulance. He has a traumatic brain injury, a broken arm, and a contusion," a friend of the victim told the E1.RU portal.
The man is currently in hospital. He himself remembers nothing of what happened because of the contusion. The man used to hunt; why he went into the forest is unknown.
This was confirmed by the Department for the Protection, Control and Regulation of the Use of Wildlife of Sverdlovsk Oblast:
"The incident did indeed occur last week; the person's life is not currently in danger. The department has decided to regulate the predator's population; local hunters are taking measures," the agency clarified.
