On September 5, the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic and the Ural Academic Philharmonic Orchestra gave the townspeople an unusual gift — a free concert held right in the Main Post Office building on Lenin Street. In this way they presented the program for the 90th concert season, which will open on September 18.

The performance took place in that very location for a reason — almost nine decades ago a landmark meeting between musicians and Mark Paverman, the future founder of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, took place here.

The opening of the anniversary season will be marked by a concert featuring the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra and the outstanding violinist Hayk Kazazyan — a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic. The season will conclude in June next year.

The anniversary concert cycle has been named "Symphony of Time" and is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Ural Academic Philharmonic Orchestra — one of the oldest musical ensembles in Russia.
