The attacker threw the weapon near the "Institut svyazi" transport stop and fled, reports the Telegram channel "Bezumny Ekb". Witnesses called an ambulance, and medics took the injured man away.
The information about the attack has already been confirmed by the press group of the Yekaterinburg police department.
"A police unit arrived at the scene. It was established that a conflict occurred between passengers. One of the participants was injured during the incident. Police are working at the scene — the circumstances and the nature of the victim's injuries are being clarified," the police said.
The Telegram channel zloy_ekb clarifies that the conflict began over the fare — a 20-year-old Yekaterinburg resident refused to pay and was rude to the conductor. Another passenger began shouting at the young man and then started to choke him. The fare-dodger then jumped on his attacker and began beating him. The other man pulled out a knife.
