Russia's first "Night of Health Screenings" will take place on September 19 in Yekaterinburg.
On Friday, September 19, Yekaterinburg will host Russia’s first "Night of Medical Check-ups," Kommersant Ural writes.
From 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. you can undergo a free medical examination at Polyclinic No. 3 of Central City Clinical Hospital No. 6 (35/3 Akademika Parina St.), the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk Oblast reports.
As part of the event a full range of examinations will be provided, including questionnaires, intraocular pressure measurement, electrocardiography, fluorography, and blood tests. For women, mammography and oncocytology are provided; for men, PSA level testing. Flu vaccinations will also be available.
Previously, when the city health department was in charge, Yekaterinburg held "Saturdays Against Cancer." Among Yekaterinburg residents who underwent examinations, the detection rate of oncological diseases increased almost fourfold, Kommersant Ural notes.
Earlier, in 2022, Alexander Kharitonov, the chief freelance specialist in medical prevention at the Sverdlovsk Region’s Ministry of Health, said that people under 40 only need to have basic medical check-ups once every three years. Those aged 40 and over require more detailed examinations at the same interval.
