In Uralmash, residents of new apartment buildings had their parking spaces taken away.
In Uralmash local residents had an altercation with young men who tried to block their access to a local parking lot. It all happened within the boundaries of Bakinskikh Komissarov — Kirovgradskaya — Kalinina streets.
"A guard booth and a barrier were installed on municipal land, while the city is supposed to be fighting non-permanent structures! Residents of the houses at 79 Kalinina and 33A Kirovgradskaya came out to sort it out. The young men refused to show documents," a Yekaterinburg resident told the E1.RU portal.
After the argument the men showed a document supposedly granting them rights to the land. It was an order from the Ministry for the Management of State Property of the Sverdlovsk Region (MUGISO). According to it, the plot with the parking lot was leased in 2023 to the Yekaterinburg firm Deviar, registered in the South-West district.
Those gathered did not believe the young men and called the police. The men then agreed to open the entrance.
"According to information received, a check is being conducted by the precinct officers of Police Department No. 15," the press group of the Yekaterinburg Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified.
The residents, meanwhile, filed a collective complaint with MUGISO and the city administration demanding clarification of the situation with the disputed plot.
Earlier we reported how a parking-payment app offered Yekaterinburg residents the option of paying for parking with other people’s bank cards.
