In Yekaterinburg, residents of a 25-story building complained about elevators being out of service.

In Yekaterinburg residents of a new apartment building complained about problems with the elevators. In the 25‑story building at 9b Kosmonavtov Street, built by PIK, tenants report constant disruptions in elevator service. According to them, only one of the three cabins consistently works, forcing people to wait up to 10–13 minutes to get to the needed floor.

Neighbors note that the malfunctions have been occurring for several months. Some residents have been trapped in the cabins, and recently the situation has only worsened.

"One elevator is stuck on the 14th floor, the second doesn't work, the third has been under repair for more than a month. I live on the 20th floor: I have to walk the dog, take my child to kindergarten, go to work. What am I supposed to do?" the apartment owner, who filmed the video on September 28, told E1.RU.

According to residents, nothing has changed in the meantime. Sometimes, residents say, it is impossible to use the elevator at all.

PIK assured that only one elevator in the building has broken down. The fault is related to a malfunctioning control board, and its replacement is promised to be carried out under warranty on October 10.

"After the spare part arrives the elevator will be put back into operation. The two other elevators are working properly. We will make a billing adjustment for residents for the downtime," the company's press service said.
