Threat eliminated: the preemptive response regime to UAVs has been lifted in Sverdlovsk Oblast.

      The preemptive response mode to a possible drone attack in the Sverdlovsk Region has been lifted, the region’s anti-terrorism commission said on the evening of October 8.

      "Preemptive response mode to a possible UAV attack in the Sverdlovsk Region has been lifted. Personnel at industrial enterprises were evacuated in advance to preempt possible consequences," the anti-terrorism commission said.

      They noted that the threat was neutralized by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and there were no casualties or damage.

      Recall that on October 8 the government of the Sverdlovsk Region reported that a number of enterprises in the region had introduced a preemptive response mode to the threat of a UAV attack, which provided for the evacuation of their workers. Several enterprises in the city were evacuated today. Internet service for residents of the Sverdlovsk Region was also partially down, in particular for the operator "Motiva."
