One of the shopping centers in Yekaterinburg will be completely renovated.
The shopping and entertainment center "Alatyr" in Yekaterinburg is preparing for a large-scale update — the center is set to undergo a complete rebranding and a change of concept, including new positioning and a facade redesign. The plans were shared by SKM Development, the company that owns the shopping complex.
"We intend to carry out a high-quality brand update. Alatyr is already among the top three most recognizable shopping centers for city residents, and now we want to take a step further — to turn it from a shopping and entertainment complex into a true center of city life," said the company's owner, Alexey Falko. URA.RU reports.
The update will affect the logo, facade, landscaping, slogan, concept and especially the food court — changes to the latter have already begun. The new brand is being developed by St. Petersburg agency ENDY. Investments in the reconceptualization are estimated at around 1.5 billion rubles.
Modernization will affect all floors of the complex. The first three floors will house a retail gallery, dining areas and a service cluster. The fourth floor will be occupied by an updated food court with a stage; nearby will be a modernized cinema, which is already operating in technical mode and will become the only one in the city to show the full range of domestic and international film releases.
A fitness center will open on the sixth floor, and offices will be located on the seventh through ninth floors. Plans call for landscaping around the building, installing benches and developing pedestrian areas. The company also expects to regularize parking along Medikov Lane by removing informal parking.
The first phase of the update is planned to be completed by October 2026, and by 2027 the retail spaces will partially give way to an expanded service cluster.
