The Sverdlovsk children's ombudsman proposed a new way to combat train surfers.

      Teenagers in Yekaterinburg continue to ride trams in a dangerous way. They climb onto the coupling that connects cars, which they call the "sausage." Recently schoolchildren and their parents were summoned to the administration of the Chkalovsky District for a meeting attended by police and prosecutors. Several people were put on record.

      On the air of the radio station "Komsomolskaya Pravda," the new children's rights commissioner in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Tatyana Titova, explained what can be done about it.

      "The problem of zatsepers is not new. At one time people talked about 'riding on the sausage,' there wasn't such a word as 'zatseper.' It's a problem with the old trams that have this device. If we look at the configuration of the new trams, there is no such problem. Let's simply remove that possibility — cover it with some kind of casing and it will be inconvenient to ride," Titova noted.

      But the children's rights commissioner did not support the idea of introducing fines for the parents of zatsepers.
