      A five-year-old girl was found murdered in Chelyabinsk. The body, with stab and slash wounds, was in an apartment on 250th Anniversary of Chelyabinsk Street. According to 74.RU, the mother is suspected of the murder.

      The child's body, wrapped in a bag, was found on Monday, November 3, after the mother moved out of the residence, 74.RU reports. According to preliminary data, death occurred several days earlier.

      "According to the investigation, a 43-year-old woman rented the apartment with the child. The minor's body was found in the sofa by the property owner after the tenant reported an eviction," reports the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Chelyabinsk Region.

      "Criminal investigation officers are questioning residents of the apartment building, establishing the persons involved in the committed crime and their whereabouts," the regional Interior Ministry headquarters said.

      The mother is the main suspect. It is known that the woman lived in the apartment for about a month. She arrived in Chelyabinsk from Bashkortostan with her daughter and worked as a manicurist.

      "The apartment was clean and tidy. They did not hear any noise or screams from them. Investigators are clarifying her circle of acquaintances and motives," writes the Telegram channel RT in Russian.

      The body lay in the premises for more than a day. The police were called by a cleaner who smelled an odor. Stab wounds were inflicted to the chest area. All knives were seized for examination, an RT source familiar with the details of the investigation said.

      The landlord did not notice anything suspicious in the woman's behavior. Neighbors also described her as "an ordinary mother with a child."
