The driver of a VAZ died this morning, November 5, in Yekaterinburg on the Bypass Road. Officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate and investigators are working at the scene, the regional agency reports.
The accident occurred at 09:15. According to preliminary information, the driver of the car, travelling on the Bypass Road from Amundsen Street toward Serafima Deryabina Street, chose an unsafe speed, lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road to the right. There the car struck a lighting pole, a tree and a metal guardrail.
As a result, the man at the wheel, a young man born in 2000, a resident of the settlement of Oktyabrsky in the Sysertsky District, died. His passenger, a young man born in 2006, after being examined by medics declined hospitalization.
A Niva parked in a parking lot behind a fence was also mechanically damaged when the deceased's VAZ drove into the fence.
Officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate and an investigative-operational team are working at the scene.
