Asbestovsky City Court handed down a sentence to a local resident who was responsible for the deaths of two young children. The woman left her four- and five-year-old children unsupervised, and they accidentally started a fire in the apartment. The court sentenced Tatyana P. to 2.5 years' imprisonment in a penal colony-settlement, the united press service of the courts reported.

The boy's body was found during firefighting efforts; the girl died later in intensive care. The mother was not at home at the time of the incident.
