The staff of City Clinical Hospital No. 14 announce with deep sorrow the passing of Lyubov Mikhailovna Lebedeva, who died in her 83rd year. She was among the founders of our hospital’s maternity hospital and will forever remain part of its history.
Lyubov Mikhailovna dedicated her entire professional life to medicine. After graduating from the Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute in 1968, she rose from being a physician in Artyomovsky to deputy chief physician of City Clinical Hospital No. 14 for obstetrics and gynecology, the medical institution reported.
The construction of two maternity hospitals — in Artyomovsky and the City Clinical Hospital No. 14 maternity hospital, built according to an experimental design and opened in 1990 — was carried out under her personal supervision. This maternity hospital can rightfully be considered her main professional project, within whose walls thousands of children were born.
Lyubov Mikhailovna’s many years of conscientious work were recognized with numerous awards — honorary diplomas from the Governor and the Government of Sverdlovsk Oblast. In 2010 the obstetrics and gynecology team she led was awarded the "Medical Olymp" prize in the "Team of the Year" category.
