There will be no sharp spike in heating prices in Yekaterinburg.
The head of the Regional Energy Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region, Vladimir Grishanov, approved a new resolution setting ceiling prices for thermal energy in Yekaterinburg’s heating price zone for 2026.
As follows from the documents reviewed by "Signal Ural", the approved tariffs differ significantly from the previously announced maximum estimates under the "alternative boiler" model. It had earlier been assumed that by December 2025 the cost of one Gcal could reach 6,966 rubles depending on the heat source. However, the REC's recent resolution shows significantly lower figures.
According to the document, from January through July 2026 the cost of one Gcal in Yekaterinburg will remain at the tariff levels in effect in December 2025. The price range including VAT will be from 1,809 to 3,456 rubles.
From July 1, 2026, tariffs will increase by approximately 12%. Under the city's heat supply scheme, some consumers will pay 3,493 rubles per Gcal instead of 3,132 rubles. The difference is due to the heat sources: for example, heat from coal-fired boiler plants is more expensive.
