The head of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, personally met with the young Yekaterinburg resident who had addressed a question to President Vladimir Putin during the Direct Line.
Ivan, who is 11, sent his question to the head of state via the MAX messenger. The boy asked the president to make the Pushkin Card, which allows young people to attend cultural events for free, available to children from age 11. Currently the card is issued to those aged 14 and up.
"While the boy awaits a response from the President, public activists presented Vanya with New Year's gifts," reads the Telegram channel "Head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov." The head of the People's Front in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Vadim Savin, invited Ivan and his relatives to the museum of SVO chevrons. The city head also decided to meet the boy personally and support his curiosity.
"It is very pleasing that culture elicits a sincere interest from the younger generation of the city's residents. Ivan is a great lad and an example to his peers!" writes "Head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov. "I always proudly say that Yekaterinburg's youth are the most talented and active."
Alexey Orlov invited Ivan, his mother and older brother to city hall, where he presented gifts and wished the boys to always remain as inquisitive in their pursuit of knowledge and to set ambitious, bold goals for themselves.
"I gave an unlimited subscription to the Museum of Fine Arts, tickets to New Year's performances at the TYuZ and the Nutcracker ballet theatre. For the family I presented invitations to the Yekaterinburg Zoo," Alexey Valeryevich revealed the contents of the gift packages.
Recall that thanks to "Year in Review with President V.V. Putin" a journalist from Yekaterinburg, Kirill Bazhanov, also had his moment of nationwide fame when he proposed to his girlfriend live on the air during the Direct Line.
