The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler, has reduced the number of government members. The number of government members has been cut to 25, the Department of Information Policy reported on Monday.
The government structure no longer includes the positions of Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region — Minister of Investments and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region — and Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region. The latter post was previously held by Sergey Perestoronin; he has left the regional government.
A new position has been introduced into the government: First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region — Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region. As of January 1, this post will be held by Alexey Viktorovich Shmykov.
The Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of the Sverdlovsk Region has been transformed into the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Territorial Development of the Sverdlovsk Region.
