Twelve Russian regions have been identified where the highest number of injuries among the population has been recorded this winter. This anti-rating, based on data from insurance companies, is published by "Izvestia."
The largest number of so-called "winter" injuries has been noted in the Kamchatka and Perm Krais, as well as in the Arkhangelsk region. The list also includes the Krasnodar Krai, Murmansk and Sverdlovsk regions, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, and the Moscow region.
According to insurers, in 61% of cases, the cause of injuries is ice.
The most common injuries remain fractures, accounting for about half of insurance cases, with wrists and fingers being the most frequently affected. In second place are ligament sprains, especially of the ankle.
Additionally, according to "Ingosstrakh," injuries caused by fireworks explosions are also recorded in winter.
