As established, on October 7, 2025, between 13:52 and 14:25, while driving a technically sound KamAZ dump truck through the village of Klyuchevsk in the Berezovsky municipal district, the defendant continued to move through an intersection of equal roads without stopping, failing to ensure that there were no approaching vehicles from the right to which he was obliged to yield.
Demonstrating criminal negligence, he entered an unregulated intersection and collided with a pit bike driven by a 14-year-old, who had the right of way and did not have the technical ability to prevent the collision by emergency braking.
As a result of Shiryayev's violation of paragraphs 1.3 and 13.11 of the Traffic Rules of the Russian Federation, the minor died at the scene from combined injuries to the torso and limbs, including fractures of the skeletal bones and damage to internal organs.
During the investigation of the criminal case and in the course of the judicial inquiry, the man did not admit his guilt.
The Berezovsky City Court sentenced the defendant under part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in the death of a person through negligence) to 4 years in a general regime correctional colony, with a ban on driving vehicles for a period of 2.5 years. The verdict has not entered into legal force and may be appealed by the parties within 15 days.
The convicted person was taken into custody in the courtroom.
