At that time, a bronze sphere, about two meters in diameter and weighing more than two tons, symbolizing the globe or the universe, was also delivered. After installation, it will be covered with gold leaf.
According to the author's concept, sculptor Alexei Shchitov, the figures of the seven archangels will seem to hover over the world.
The central sculpture of the composition will be the archangel Michael - the leader of the heavenly army of angels and archangels, that is, the archistrateg. In the near future, his figure will be cast in bronze at a workshop in Nizhny Novgorod, writes "Ъ-Ural."
A similar sculptural composition has already been installed in Chelyabinsk. In Yekaterinburg, the monument will also be a gift to the city from RMC. Its installation is planned to be completed by August.
The "Cathedral of the Archistrateg Michael" will be about 16 meters tall and will become one of the tallest Orthodox monuments in Russia. Before installation, all elements of the monument will be consecrated by Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeny (Kulberg).
