In the center of Yekaterinburg, the sale of alcohol will be restricted.
On June 12, the retail sale of alcoholic beverages will be temporarily prohibited in the center of Yekaterinburg. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the city, Alexey Orlov.
According to the document, the restrictions will be in effect from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The ban will affect trading enterprises located within the boundaries of Vainera, Malysheva, Karl Liebknecht streets, and Lenin Avenue.
The measures are related to the celebration of events dedicated to Russia Day. On this day, a concert titled "We Sing Glory to Russia and the City!" will take place in Historical Square.
The festive program will begin at 12:00 PM. A combined choir of a thousand singers, consisting of the best groups from cultural institutions and children's art schools in Yekaterinburg, will perform for the audience. The musical accompaniment will be provided by a brass band.
The organizers note that everyone who wishes can join in singing the songs. The lyrics of the compositions will be displayed on a multimedia screen during the concert.
