A drunk man attacked people with a knife in broad daylight in the Pioneer settlement (VIDEO)
In the Pioneer microdistrict, a drunken troublemaker stabbed one of the men who refused to drink with a drunken acquaintance in broad daylight. The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 17, around 4:30 PM near the house on Sulimova Street, 38, reported the media relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Yekaterinburg. A man in a state of heavy intoxication appeared in the yard of the house. He began to approach two other men standing near the entrance with a proposal to drink together. After being refused, the drunken citizen left somewhere and soon returned armed with a knife.
During the ensuing scuffle, the 39-year-old troublemaker inflicted several stab wounds to the back and chest of a 46-year-old man, a resident of the house. The victim was hospitalized with a lung injury.
The attacker was detained by arriving police officers. It turned out that the troublemaker lives in a neighboring house and works as an assembler at one of the factories; he has no prior convictions.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing serious harm to health." The suspect has been placed in custody. It is worth noting that a similar attack occurred in Yekaterinburg in April. In the yards of houses at the intersection of Malysheva and Komsomolskaya streets, a drunken 23-year-old man attacked another man with a knife, fatally wounding him in the chest. In early June, a court in Yekaterinburg recognized the right to self-defense for a man who gave a tough response to a drunken neighbor with a knife.
