Three people died in a collision while overtaking near the Sverdlovsk settlement of Pelym.
An accident that resulted in the deaths of three people occurred on Saturday morning near the village of Pelym — the northernmost settlement in the Sverdlovsk region (located 620 kilometers from Yekaterinburg).
The tragedy happened on June 20 at around 07:30 on the 2 km 768 m technological road "Access to the village of Pelym," reported the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region.
According to preliminary data, a 46-year-old driver of a KIA Ceed, moving from the direction of the village of Pelym towards the road "Ivdel — border of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra," while attempting to overtake a Scania truck, lost control and went off the roadway into the left ditch, subsequently overturning.

It was established that the driver had 26 years of experience in operating vehicles. He had previously been held administratively responsible once.
The other two deceased were 39-year-old women sitting in the front and rear passenger seats. At the time of the incident, neither was wearing a seatbelt.
