A young woman from Sverdlovsk repaid a debt to an acquaintance with drugs.
Investigators from the Linear Police Department at the Serov station charged two girls who met near the railway station. One of the suspects handed over a drug to the other, reports the press service of the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Ural Federal District.
According to the materials of the criminal cases, on June 6, 2026, transport police detained two local residents, born in 1982 and 2000, on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking near the Serov railway station. At the time of the arrest, the younger one was handing over packages with the presumed narcotic substance to the older acquaintance.
The Serov residents were taken to the duty unit. The 44-year-old suspect was found by operatives to have two paper packages containing a powdery substance. The second suspect had two more packages with a similar powder. Law enforcement officials sent the contents of the packages for examination, which confirmed that they contained the synthetic drug N-methylamphetamine, with a total weight of 9.716 grams.
It was established that before the arrest, the 25-year-old suspect had started dealing in prohibited substances. The Serov resident acquired drugs through a "curator" and distributed them in the territory of Serov. The girl explained that she decided to offer her acquaintance, to whom she owed 5,000 rubles, drugs instead of money, knowing that she wanted to try them. The older acquaintance agreed to such an offer, after which the girls arranged a meeting near the railway station to hand over the prohibited substance, where they were detained.
Moreover, the dealer had previously had legal problems. The girl was convicted for theft in 2023 and 2026, as well as for intentionally causing minor harm to a person's health in 2025. She has also been repeatedly held administratively responsible for the consumption of prohibited substances.
A criminal case was initiated against the older detainee under part 2 of article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Currently, the materials of the case have been sent to the Serov District Court for consideration and a legal decision.
Investigators initiated a criminal case against the younger participant in the criminal story under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "g" of part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, an official from Yekaterinburg received 12.5 years in a strict regime due to drugs.
