On July 20, 2026, the Prosecutor's Office of Krasnoturinsk organized an inspection in connection with the death of a worker from a local enterprise while performing his job duties, the press service of the Sverdlovsk region prosecutor's office reported on Monday.
The accident occurred at the production site of LLC "UralMontazhService" during the daytime on July 16. While placing cargo in the body of a KamAZ truck, the employee, a man born in 1966, slipped while standing on the roof of the vehicle and fell headfirst onto the concrete base.
The injured was hospitalized but died shortly thereafter from a combined head and torso injury, including a fracture of the vault and base of the skull, abrasions to the head and face, and a fracture of the left clavicle.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated by the investigative authorities under part 2 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of labor protection requirements resulting in the accidental death of a person). Its investigation has been taken under the prosecutor's control.
