A sixty-year-old agent of the Ukrainian special services was eliminated during his arrest in the Urals.
A sixty-year-old resident of Tyumen was preparing a terrorist attack on the railway approach to the Tyumen Oil Refinery. When he offered armed resistance, the man was neutralized, TASS reported from the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB of Russia.
On the night of July 19, the saboteur placed a homemade explosive device (HED) in a hideout he had set up on the first floor of an abandoned building in Tyumen. When caught red-handed, he opened fire with automatic weapons on FSB special unit officers and was neutralized by return fire.
At the scene, components of the HED were discovered and seized, as well as a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and ammunition for it. During a search of his residence, firearms, components for another bomb, and mobile phones were found, URALLIVE reports.
It has been established that the neutralized saboteur was a native of the Ukrainian SSR. On his own initiative, he contacted the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine via the Telegram messenger and received an assignment from a GUR representative to organize a sabotage-terrorist act on the railway tracks leading to LLC "Tyumen Oil Refinery," which are not for public use. He was looking for a place to better position the explosives.
Recall that in March of this year, FSB officers prevented a planned terrorist attack in Yekaterinburg against one of the leaders of a defense industry enterprise. The alleged executor was eliminated by the customers in front of the security forces.
