The photographer from Uralweb.ru became the winner of the International Photography Competition.
The photographer of the Uralweb.ru portal, Dmitry Chasovitin, became the winner of the III International Photography Competition "LIGHT and COLOR." His series "Red-Blue (the strongest)" took first place in the nomination "City: pulse and energy."
The competition featured 32 authors from 17 Russian cities, as well as photographers from Belarus, Finland, and Germany. The works were evaluated in several nominations.
Chasovitin's winning series is dedicated to the Yekaterinburg street theater festival "Faces of the Streets." The photographer decided to showcase the event through two colors—red and blue—almost completely abandoning traditional portrait images.
"I wanted to show 'Faces of the Streets' without faces. Only with my two favorite colors—red and blue," said Dmitry Chasovitin.
The works of the winners were presented for the first time on August 13 at an exhibition in the City Park of Yelets. The exhibition opened the namesake festival "LIGHT and COLOR," which took place in the city for the third time this year.
