"Blood wouldn't stop." In Shirokaya Rechka, a dog owner attacked a delivery courier
August 23, 2026 In the yard of a house in the Shirokaya Rechka neighborhood, a local resident walking two dogs off-leash beat up a delivery courier who nearly ran over one of them by accident. Another local resident witnessed the attack and brought the incident to light.
As Olga, who was walking her dog in a clearing near the house on Kichigina Street, 7/4, told the "Evil Yekaterinburg" public, the delivery courier, while entering the road, narrowly missed hitting a small dog that jumped out from the bushes in front of his wheels. The dog was being walked off-leash by an unfamiliar man.
"They were running wherever they wanted, darting into the bushes and back," Olga recounted. The courier was not driving fast and immediately braked, only grazing the animal. The dog jumped back after the collision. At that moment, the owner ran up to the young man and hit him with such force that he started bleeding.
Seeing that the blood of the injured party wouldn't stop, the man first went to the bakery located in the house for napkins, and then began calling the young man to his apartment to provide help there. Olga was already calling for an ambulance at that time, but the young man did not want to wait for it and also refused Olga's offer to go to her place to wash off the blood.
The Yekaterinburg resident left her contact information with the courier, saying she could testify to the attack and urged the victim to seek medical attention and file a police report. Olga had already done that herself. The incident scared her greatly. In her opinion, such aggression should not go unpunished.
