"I want to go to the sky." In Koltsovo, the passenger was not allowed on the flight to Sochi.

At Koltsovo Airport, a resident of Yekaterinburg overindulged in alcohol and arrived for boarding in a state of intoxication, the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Ural Federal District reported on Tuesday. The man was denied boarding.

Information that one of the airline passengers was violating public order during boarding for the flight "Yekaterinburg - Sochi" was received by the duty unit of the Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at Koltsovo Airport last Saturday, August 15, at 16:00. The man planned to fly to Sochi for a vacation. After checking in for the flight, he went to drink alcohol at a café in the airport terminal and arrived for boarding in a state of intoxication.

Representatives of the airline noticed the Yekaterinburg resident's condition, and by the decision of the aircraft commander, he was denied boarding and the flight. This led to unlawful behavior from the 54-year-old Yekaterinburg resident—he began to use coarse profanity. As a result, the flight attendants called the police.

Law enforcement officers detained the violator and took him to the duty unit. He refused to undergo a sobriety test.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the detainee, who had no prior legal issues, under part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation ("Petty Hooliganism"). As a punishment, he was fined. Until the case is reviewed by the court, the man was held in a special facility for detainees.
