Intense rainfall is expected in the region over the coming days, reports TASS citing the scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand.

Due to heavy rains, a significant rise in water levels in the rivers is expected. Flooding is possible if the water exceeds the floodplain.
— Today, July 30, heavy precipitation is forecasted in the southeast of the region. Due to the rain, settlements on the banks of the Iset, Syserta, and Tavda rivers may experience minor flooding, — said meteorologist and Telegram channel author "Weather in Yekaterinburg" Alexey Pulin.
With the beginning of August, temperatures in the region will start to rise, and rainfall will decrease significantly.
The most severe flood on the Urals occurred five years ago in Nizhnie Sergi. In the city, heavy rainfall and a sharp rise in water levels in the Serebryanka and Storozhevaya rivers caused flooding of private homes.
In Verkhnyaya Salda, residents were cut off from the outside world due to the rain.
