Ural customs officers discovered items with Nazi symbols in a parcel from Germany.
Items bearing Nazi symbols were discovered in a parcel from Germany by officers of the Ural operational customs service, the press service of the Ural Customs Directorate reported on Tuesday.
It was established that a resident of Sverdlovsk Oblast had ordered the items with prohibited symbols online for his personal collection. In total the parcel contained 15 items — documents, photographs of German soldiers, albums and items of clothing with prohibited elements — a swastika and an image of the imperial eagle.
According to experts' conclusions, the seized items show signs of an extremist nature.
An administrative case has been opened under Article 16.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to comply with prohibitions and/or restrictions on the import of goods into the customs territory). The offender faces a fine and confiscation of the goods.
