A photographer from the Urals had their work included in the world's top 'nude' photographs list.

A novice photographer from the Chelyabinsk Region, a native of Korkino, Alexander Tikhiy was among the top 2% in the Black and White Nude category of the 35Awards competition. More than a thousand photographers submitted works to the competition, reports 74.RU.

At first he photographed nature; after some time he decided to pursue photography professionally and to learn from experienced specialists in the field.

At one workshop in Chelyabinsk, Alexander tried photographing in the “nude” genre. He began a creative collaboration with a model, Yulia, who poses nude.

It was her photograph that this autumn was ranked among the top 2% in the international 35Awards competition, which received submissions from over 1,100 photographers from 70 countries.

Alexander Tikhiy regularly submits his work to various competitions and has already achieved good results in other genres as well — for example, portrait, fashion photography, and black-and-white photography.

“There are still very few people willing to pose nude in Chelyabinsk, Alexander Tikhiy notes with some regret,” writes 74.RU. “As I understand it, many are not so much embarrassed as afraid that the photographer will start to grope them,” the photographer explained.

Notably, the main job of the 37-year-old from the Urals is far removed from photography — he manufactures amusement shooting galleries. A shooting range from his chain is installed, among other places, in the Greenwich shopping mall in Yekaterinburg, notes the Chelyabinsk portal.
