A woman from Yekaterinburg complained about the lack of a proper sidewalk near the "Zolotoy" bus station.
Residents of Yekaterinburg are horrified by the pedestrian route in Botanika that runs from the "Shvarts" bus stop (near the Botanicheskaya metro station) along the construction site of the "Zolotoy" bus terminal to the bridge over Shcherbakova Street, E1.RU reports.
According to E1.RU reader Tatyana, she regularly walks from the terminal metro station toward Uktus with a baby stroller. She says pedestrians have been suffering here for five years. They have to walk on a narrow wooden boardwalk and through mud.
The Yekaterinburg mayor’s office told E1.RU that the builders of "Zolotoy" — the company "Malysheva, 73" — are responsible for the problematic section. Representatives of the developer said they are aware of the problem. They promised to renew the wooden decking by the end of October and to install temporary lighting.
Soon a parallel (duplicate) roadway for Belinsky Street will begin to be laid at this location, and a new temporary pedestrian route will be organized through the underpass beneath the bridge, leading to the odd-numbered side of Belinsky Street, the company "Malysheva, 73" said.
They reminded that "Zolotoy" is not just a shopping center but a full-fledged transport interchange hub intended to relieve the city center of cars.
