A young woman from Yekaterinburg quit her job and cycled alone to Vladivostok.

Ksenia Dementyeva, a resident of Yekaterinburg, made a solo bicycle trip from Yekaterinburg to Vladivostok, covering more than seven thousand kilometers in three months.

Previously Ksenia worked as a chemist in cosmetics production, but this spring she quit due to emotional burnout. She spent several months at home, and in July decided to embark on a long trip to sort herself out and understand what she wanted to do next.

The woman detailed her adventures and challenges on her Telegram channel. Of the 96 days of the trip, she spent 82 on the road and 14 resting. In total Ksenia spent more than 230,000 rubles on the journey.

After reaching Vladivostok, the traveler spent several days there, after which she went to her sister in Thailand — already without the bicycle.

According to Ksenia, she had originally planned to get to Japan, but she was unable to obtain a visa.

"The process turned out to be more complicated than expected — the visa center processed the documents for one and a half months instead of five days. Now you have to provide a ferry ticket in advance, and at the time of submitting the documents such a requirement did not exist. In the end I found myself in a vicious circle," she said.
