Mizulina commented on the "virus of hooliganism" on trams in Yekaterinburg.
The head of the "Safe Internet League," Yekaterina Mizulina, expressed her opinion on the situation with teenagers attacking trams in Yekaterinburg. According to the public figure, the situation in the Ural capital is not unique; this phenomenon affects other large Russian cities as well.
"The virus of hooliganism on transport and train-surfing has recently spread not only to Yekaterinburg. In fact there have been many cases in Moscow, in the Moscow region, in Perm, and in other regions," Yekaterina Mizulina wrote on her Telegram channel.
In the activist’s view, this antisocial behavior is driven solely by a desire to get hype on social media. Teenagers film "kruzhki" and videos, not realizing they could ruin their lives. "Everything can turn into a tragedy and there will never be any more content," she noted.
Mizulina called the problem deeper than it may seem and promised to return to the issue.
In addition, Yekaterina posted a link on her Telegram channel to a TV report about a young train-surfer found in the Moscow region with serious injuries. Mizulina recalled that the boy fell from a train and lay in a ravine for three days with fractures. "The most awful thing is that his friends abandoned him and did not help, assuming he was dead. They told his parents nothing about what had happened and kept silent all those days," the public figure noted.
