The Yekaterinburg mayor’s office failed to find a contractor to build the ice town in the Historical Square. According to the public procurement website, the authorities rejected all bids from participants.
Two participants applied for the tender, but they were not approved. At the same time, since the 1990s the construction of the town has always been handled by the same company — Ais-Proekt 2000, writes Ura.Ru.
The authorities allocated 26.18 million rubles for the work; it must be completed by December 30. The scope of work includes installing the city’s main Christmas tree, traditional ice figures, a slide, a maze and other decorations. This year they want to decorate the ice town in the style of the “Sverdlovsk Rock Club.”
Earlier it was reported that another ice town will open in the “Archangel Mikhail” sports quarter. It will be equipped with a giant slide, a Christmas tree and an ice rink.
