Kirovsky District Court in Yekaterinburg fined two men, one of whom is a native of a neighboring post‑Soviet country. Each was fined 480,000 rubles.
The men were found guilty under the article “Hooliganism, by a group of persons, with a threat of violence against citizens, with the use of a weapon.”
During the trial it was established that on April 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the convicted men came to the courtyard of a house on Mayakovsky Street in Yekaterinburg to pick up the bride. In the yard the groom took a signal pistol out of his trousers pocket and fired a shot. Then the groom’s friend also pulled out a sound‑and‑light (flash‑bang) pistol and fired three shots.
The court ruled that the groom and his friend created a threat to people near the house on Mayakovsky Street, who experienced anxiety and fear for their lives and health. The actions were recorded on video.
