A firefighter from the fire station, Sergey Poletaev, has died in a Yekaterinburg hospital.
In early November he suffered a terrible tragedy: in a horrific fire in the village of Kashino his wife and daughter were killed, and their house was completely destroyed.
With severe burns covering 60% of his body surface, Sergey was taken to Yekaterinburg’s 40th hospital. For a long time he remained in intensive care in a consistently serious condition.
On November 24, Sergey’s relatives posted the tragic news on social media: the man had died. His sister Alexandra wrote about it:
— My heart is torn to pieces, my dear little brother, why did you leave us.
The tragedy occurred on November 4 in the village of Kashino. A domestic gas explosion occurred in a house on Stepana Razina Street. A woman and a fifth-grade girl were killed.
The head of the family, a firefighter with ten years of service in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, miraculously escaped from the house engulfed in flames.
