A woman from Sverdlovsk stole her date's car after a bad date.

A court in the Sverdlovsk region heard the case of a young woman who stole a car from an unsuccessful suitor, the press service of the regional courts reported.

This summer in Kamensk-Uralsky, 18-year-old Tatyana met a young man on social media. After their first meeting the man stopped communicating. This greatly offended Tatyana.

On their only date the man offered the girl a ride in his VAZ-2108. She memorized where it was parked and some time later stole the car out of revenge. She called two acquaintances; together they broke into the car, shorted the wires and went for a drive.

Two days later Tatyana’s friends saw a social media post seeking witnesses to the theft. They were in the photo. The men contacted the victim and told him what had happened, asking him to take back the car. A criminal case of car theft was opened against Tatyana. Her friends were recognized only as witnesses to the incident.

Before the trial Tatyana paid Sergey 80,000 rubles: 30,000 as compensation for material damage and 50,000 as compensation for moral harm. The Krasnogorsky District Court of Kamensk-Uralsky took all the circumstances into account, terminated criminal prosecution against Tatyana and fined her 5,000 rubles, the EAN publication writes.

Earlier it was reported that the thief of a luxury BMW belonging to a Yekaterinburg student had been arrested.
