In Yekaterinburg, the discount for public transport has stopped working.
As of January 1, 2026, the discount for paying for a trip on public transport in Yekaterinburg by QR code has stopped working.
The promotion, which allowed passengers to save between 4 and 13 rubles per trip, had been in effect since October 2024. The city administration said the discount was temporary and was part of the National Payment Card System (NSPK) program, writes Ura.Ru.
In total, during the campaign the city's residents saved about 450 million rubles. Recall that in recent months using a QR code could save 9 rubles: paying 33 rubles instead of 42. But now all passengers are required to pay the full fare. The only way to keep saving is to buy an unlimited travel pass for 1,500 rubles. By the way, we covered the current fares in detail.
