A Match TV journalist became the host of the "Tour De Burg" multi-day ski sprint.
The final of the Ural multi-day ski event "Tour de Burg" took place today, January 8, at Uktus, the event's Telegram channel reports.
The competition, featuring celebrated Russian athletes Denis Spitsov, Evgeny Garanichev, Evgeny Belov, Ivan Yakimushkin and Yulia Stupak, began in Yekaterinburg on Tuesday, January 6 with an evening race at the Dynamo training and sports base. Today's final race at Uktus was uphill.
Sports journalist and Match TV presenter Ilya Trifanov served as host for all three days of the competition.
After three days, Yulia Stupak recorded the best result among the professionals. The gold in the men's group was won by Olympic champion Denis Spitsov. He became a three-time winner of the multi-day event.
"Tour de Burg" is a cherished tradition that brings together professionals and amateurs, the organizers note. The prize fund for the competition amounted to one million rubles. The ski races for the Cup of the Head of Yekaterinburg have been held during the January holidays since 2023. The first starts were timed to coincide with Yekaterinburg's 300th anniversary.
