Sverdlovsk women had million-dollar debts for utility services written off.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Leninsky District of Yekaterinburg achieved the cancellation of over 1 million rubles in debts for housing and communal services for two local residents and the restoration of electricity supply in their apartments.
As reported by the supervisory authority, the women had accumulated debts for housing and communal services in a building on Gromova Street. Due to the debts, the management company "Unified Standard" disconnected the electricity supply to their apartments.
In November 2025, the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region completed the procedure for the realization of property within the framework of the bankruptcy of the citizens and released them from obligations to pay for housing and communal services in accordance with federal insolvency legislation.
After that, the women applied to the management company with requests for debt cancellation and restoration of electricity supply. However, as established by the prosecutor's office, the requests were not actually considered, and measures to enforce the court decision were not taken.
The prosecutor's office submitted a representation to the director of the LLC "Management Company 'Unified Standard'." After the intervention of the supervisory authority, the debt was canceled, information about the absence of debts was sent to the relevant accounting systems, and the electricity supply to the apartments was restored.
