The "Last Bell" will ring today in Yekaterinburg for 27 thousand graduates.

      On May 26, 2026, more than 27,000 students from the 9th and 11th grades will graduate from schools in Yekaterinburg this year, reported the head of the Ural capital, Alexey Orlov, on Tuesday, May 26. Graduates are awaited by "Yekaterinburg universities, enterprises, and companies," the mayor wrote on his channel in MAX.

      "May gratitude to those who were by your side, taught, and supported you—teachers, parents, mentors—always remain in your heart alongside new goals and plans. I wish you to remain faithful to school friendships, achieve true success in life, and glorify your school and our beloved city—Yekaterinburg—with your deeds and accomplishments. Forward to new discoveries and victories! Safe travels!" the city head wished the students.

      This year, 1,300 graduates are vying for medals ("For Special Achievements in Learning" of I and II degrees).

      Governor Denis Pasler also congratulated the graduates, parents, and teachers on the Day of the Last School Bell. He also wished the graduates success in their upcoming exams.

      Across the Sverdlovsk region, "Last Bells" will ring today for 72,000 graduates, reports the regional information policy department.

      "I wish you to confidently pursue your goals, to bring to life the boldest ideas, cherished dreams, and plans," emphasized Denis Pasler. He noted that all opportunities have been created in our region for this. "The doors of Ural colleges, technical schools, and universities, as well as Ural enterprises and organizations, are always open."

      For the other schoolchildren, summer vacation began on May 26. The academic year was shortened in connection with the preparation of schools for the Unified State Exam (USE).
