FC Ural will sign a contract with 28-year-old forward from France Bertrand Fourier. This was reported by E1.RU, citing football insider Ivan Karpov.
According to the sports insider, the player is already in Yekaterinburg and undergoing a medical examination, E1.RU reports.
Karpov stated that the club plans to pay around 22.3 million rubles (250 thousand euros) for the player, and his monthly salary will exceed one million rubles. These figures could set a record for the Yekaterinburg club.
Fourier was born in Cameroon. After moving to France, he trained in the academies of the clubs Marseille and Nice, but did not make it to the first team.
In seven years, the forward has changed six teams. The 28-year-old Fourier spent his last season at Bulgarian club Septemvri, becoming one of the top scorers in the Bulgarian championship.
Earlier, E1.RU reported that Ural refused to consider another player from Cameroon, who ended up in Russia due to a language barrier and consequently found himself on the front lines instead of in Yekaterinburg.
